Telemedicine activities were started with the aim to test the concept of information and
communication technology in the field of medicine. Telemedicine, as defined by WHO, is delivery
of health care services, where distance is a critical factor, by all healthcare professionals using
information and communication technology for exchange of valid information for diagnosis,
treatment and prevention of disease and injuries, research and evaluation, and for continuing
education of healthcare providers.

building, in this building

Tele-radiology,
Tele-Pathology,
video-conferencing unit with

devices. The equipments
installed includes server,
PC client, stereo speakers,
RgB splitter, X-ray
scanner, Tele-pathology
system, Digital sLR camera,
Digital ECG, Glucometer, HD
video
conferencing unit etc.
along with this the center
is providing free internet
facilities to faculty
members and PG
students.
Digital Library
The digital library which is
situated in college building
is supervised by Dr. Ravi
Mehrotra,
Professor, Department of
Pathology. In which 20
computers were installed.

Training
after formally handing over
the unit the first three
days training programme was
conducted
by trainers under the
supervision of Prof. s.k.
Mishra was held on 20th
august 2010. seven faculty
members along with nodal
officer Dr. Devashish sharma
took part in this training
programme. In
which demonstration of tele-radiology
and tele-pathology was
conducted. Demonstration of
Telemedicine software and
videoconferencing system was
done.
TeleCasT oF CliniCal Grand
roUnd FroM sGPGi
The first Clinical grand
Round (CGR) on hamatology
was telecast from SGPGI,
Lucknow on
18.09.2010. Prof. Ravi
Mehrotra along with five
post graduate students
participated in this CGR.
Regular transmission of CGR
on every Saturday from 8.00
AM to 9.00 AM was done
(except on
gazetted holidays). various
different subjects on
Medicine, surgery, Radiology
and anaesthesia
were covered. CGR on
Immunology, Pediatrics
surgery, Pulmonary Medicine,
Plastic surgery,
Radiology/ Radiodiagnosis,
anaesthesia and CVTs were
telecast from SGPGI,
Lucknow. These CGR
was well attended by faculty
members and PG students.
Central Medical RECORD
section
Central medical record
section was also set up in
MPs building of SRN
hospital, under the
supervision of Prof.
Devashish Sharma, Professor
statistics and Demography.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar
Saxena, Computer Operator is
maintaining all medical
records on computer. at
present records of
indoor and outdoor of
five department, namely
Medicine, surgery,
Orthopaedics, Pediatrics and
Obstetrics and Gynaecology
are computerized.
