The department of Pathology is also supervising the Blood Bank in SRN Hospital Allahabad, which has shown tremendous progress in the past 1 year. We have organized 16 Voluntary donation Camps with a total of 450 units. Also the stock position has increased substantially from 20 units to approximately 500 Units of blood. All the groups are regularly available 24 hours for needy patients. A major achievement was starting the Blood Component Unit from July 2010 which is making Packed RBC, Platelets, Fresh Frozen Plasma. We have successfully tackled the dengue haemorrhagic crisis by supplying 650 units of platelets and also every month we are preparing & Supplying 150 components.
