(i) M.B.B.S. - The first batch of 38 undergraduate students joined from August l, 1963. Later the number of students was increased to 100. The M.B.B.S. degree of the college was recognized by the Indian Medical Council in 1966 and also by the British Medical Council later in the year. (ii) M.D. (Pathology) - The University of Allahabad permitted the department to start training of postgraduate students in 1965. The M.D. (Pathology) degree was recognised by Medical Council of India in 1968. The first candidate for M.D. was Dr. S .R. Pande and for D.C.P was Dr. K.K. Kapoor. Till now 73 candidates have been awarded M.D. and D.C.P degrees. The latter course has been discontinued by the State Government after April 1989.(iii) D.M.L.T. - The department also has a Laboratory Technician's diploma course of 24 months. Where 80 students are given, complete practical and theoretical training.
