The department of Orthopedics came into existence on 01/07/1970. Prof. R. C. Gupta was the first head of the department. Since then the department has come a long way, in terms of development in the field of academics and orthopedic surgeries. Prof. A. N. Verma , Ex.Head and Dr. S. C. Gaur contributed a lot to the same. At present the department is headed by Dr. D. C. Srivastava, Associate professor. A total of 250 articles have been published in various state, national, and international journals. Few book have also been written by the faculty of the department .
