Patient Care
(i)
OPD serViCes
PG department of Medicine has five daily OPDs conducted by various faculty members. There are specialist OPDs in specialties of endocrinology, nephrology, neurology and psychiatry. For Diabetic patients the department runs a special clinic 2 days a week where comprehensive diabetic care and education is rendered. Total OPD attendance between January 2010 and December 2010 was 54. Total OPD attendance from January 2011 till March 2011 was 14450.
(ii)
ipD serViCes
Medicine department has a well equipped ICU consisting of 36
beds. Each bed has central oxygen, suction and multipara
monitors. There is a semi dependency (step down) ward for
(iii) art Centre
The anti retroviral therapy(art), centre caters to patients
infected with HIV and has facilities for CD 4 count. Prof.
Sarita Bajaj as the nodal officer, assisted by Dr. Kamlesh
Kumar Sonkar. The department of Medicine is fully involved
in the art centre through its faculty members, residents and
paramedical staff.
Neurology procedure lab is equipped with EEG and NCV
facilities. The department has its own endoscopy unit,
bronchoscopy unit and usG unit providing better diagnostic
facilities to patients. Facilities of bedside ECG are
available round the clock to the patients.
