CENTRAL LIBRARY

The Central library plays an important role in the academic world by providing access to world-class information resources and services, and stimulates academic research in the students and staff of the M.L.N. Medical College.
The library has about 12000 texts and over 100 national and international journals. In addition, now we have 3 reading rooms which are open from 8 am to 10 pm every day.

 

 

The library has three fully qualified and dedicated staff working under the capable guidance of Prof. Ravi Mehrotra. The pass percentage of students in Post graduate entrance exams has had a quantum jump ever since this reading room facility was started.

The Central Library is now has E-learning facility and is powered with 20 thin client computers and empowered with a 2mbps (1X1) lease line internet connectivity,

many educational materials e.g. books, journals, articles, thesis, news papers, bibliographic databases (e. g. PUBMED, INDMED etc), wikis, podcasts (audio & video) can be accessed over the internet. They can also prepare Power point presentations for lectures, seminar, panel discussion etc.

This method also has the following points to its credit : 

  •  This enhances searching capabilities in a digital format.

  •  Online reading materials are available at the user's desktop, regardless of where the user is physically located.

  • It allows for the inclusion of materials only available on the Internet or in digital format.

  • It provides the user with the capability to download and manipulate text.

  • It often allows for multiple, concurrent users.
